2017 Program

Program for the National Adaptation Forum 2017

Adaptation is a small, rapidly growing field developing in response to urgent needs and challenges. The National Adaptation Forum provides opportunities for the professional adaptation community from across the United States to convene to share strategies, lessons, tools, and information through formal trainings, facilitated practitioner presentations, and informal exchange of information. This event affords participants the opportunity to learn more about how to make their work climate smart, share what they have learned with others, and develop a stronger network to be climate savvy in all that they do.

Our call for proposals for the Forum in 2017 is divided into two phases. Phase-one included the call for proposals for symposia, working groups and training sessions and opened August 8th and closed on October 14th. Phase-two includes our call for oral presentations, posters and adaptation decision tools for the Tools Cafe which opened on October 17, 2016 and will close on December 16, 2016. We have begun reviewing proposals from Phase-one and will begin review for Phase-two in late December and January 2017. Once we have selected all approved proposals we will notify presenters by mid Feburary allowing ample time to make arrangements to attend the Forum.

Symposia, Training Session and Working Group submissions closed on October 14.

Oral presentations, tools, and poster submissioned closed on December 16.
