The
Local Government Commission and the
State of California recently organized the first California Adaptation Forum in the state capital, August 19 – 20, 2014. The two-day forum built off last year’s successful
National Adaptation Forum in Colorado. The attendance of many California leaders there underscored the need for a California-focused event, which will be held every other year to complement the biennial national forum.
If you were not able make it to the California Adaptation Forum, this webinar will provide you with a recap on the thoughts, themes, and solutions participants discussed.
Panel members included:
- Kevin Werner, Director, Western Regional Climate Services, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration,
- Will Travis, Executive Director, San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission,
- Amber Pairis, Ph.D., Senior Environmental Scientist, California Department of Fish and Wildlife,
- Lara Hansen, Chief Scientist and Executive Director, EcoAdapt, and
- Participants attending the Forum.
