Statement made on 6/19/20

Today, the National Adaptation Forum team wants to bring attention to the Juneteenth holiday, to celebrate the contributions and resilience of African Americans, acknowledge the legacy of slavery in the United States and condemn on-going systemic racism, discrimination, police brutality and violence against Black people.

Our team extends support and solidarity to the Black community and especially honors the vast contributions of Black practitioners to the adaptation field.

We are committed to doing our part to advance the liberation of African Americans and to promote equity for Black, Brown, Indigenous people and People of Color in the adaptation field and our everyday lives. Join us in learning and taking action:
