Getting to Saint Paul
By Air: The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is only eight miles from downtown Saint Paul. It is the second-largest Delta Air Lines hub, and connects to over 300 destinations worldwide.
By Car: Both I-94 and I-35 serve the Saint Paul area, making the city very accessible by car. Once you’ve arrived, there are a number of options for parking, or you can leave your car with the hotel valet.
By Rail: The Union Depot in downtown Saint Paul and the is part of Amtrak’s national train system. Those interested in traveling by rail should check the Amtrak website for the most up-to-date schedules and routes.
Getting Around Saint Paul
By Light Rail: The METRO Blue Line connects the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport with downtown Minneapolis and other nearby attractions, including the Mall of America. To reach downtown Saint Paul from the airport via light rail, attendees will need to take the Blue Line into downtown Minneapolis and transfer to a bus or the Green Line. The Green Line connects downtown Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota, and downtown Saint Paul. METRO tickets range in price from $2.00-$2.50 for adults.
By Bus: Metro Transit offers a network of bus routes for travel around Saint Paul and throughout the Twin Cities. To reach downtown Saint Paul from the airport via bus, attendees will need to take Metro Transit Route 54. This bus is boarded on Level 1 of MSP Terminal 1. Passengers flying into Terminal 2 will need to take the METRO Blue Line to Terminal 1 to access the bus. The train between airport terminals is free. Bus fares range from $0.50-$2.50.
